Education is Part of Our Rich Season
During the 2015-2016 season multiple in-schools events were part of our programming, including visits by Simone Dinnerstein, Mnozil Brass, members of the Polish-Baltic Philharmonic, and several others.
Pianist Simone Dinnerstein brings her "BachPacking to School" program to the Worcester Arts Magnet Elementary School in January 2016.
In the 2014-2015 season Mark O'Connor offered a fiddling masterclass post-performance.
In January of 2015 the Canadian Brass spent their concert morning at South High here in Worcester, presenting a masterclass to the South High Community Band, followed by lunch at the school and the entire band attending the concert at Mechanics Hall that evening.
In March 2015 the third annual Worcester Symphonic Project concert was presented in Mechanics Hall, with student musicians from Worcester colleges and universities performing with younger and adult student musicians, coached by professionals during the Fall and Winter.

Friday, May 1, 2015 the Brentano Quartet presented an extraordinary masterclass at the College of the Holy Cross focused on Bartok, followed by a performance that evening in Brooks Hall on campus.
Chris Brubeck's Triple Play presented a post-concert masterclass to members of the Joy of Music Program jazz ensembles on May 17, 2015.
In past seasons the Ahn Trio, members of the East Coast Chamber Orchestra, Time for Three String Trio, and others have presented masterclasses and mini-concerts for students at Burncoat High School.
