Bank Officers Present $2,500 Check

WORCESTER — Sovereign Bank officers Ben Duszlak and Tom McGregor met with Music Worcester Executive Director Adrien Finlay to present the award check for support of Music Worcester's Tickets to Opportunity program, which enables donors and sponsors to contribute specifically towards this youth initiative. Music Worcester offers complimentary tickets to nonprofit organizations and schools working with underserved youth and their families.

Tickets to Opportunity helps to open the doors to a world of live performance presented by Music Worcester. A season of music by classical orchestras, jazz and chamber ensembles, soloists and ballet performances is presented by Music Worcester every year in Mechanics Hall, Tuckerman Hall, Hanover Theatre, and other venues in Worcester.

Music Worcester is a nonprofit cultural organization, founded in 1858. In addition to the Tickets to Opportunity program, other major educational initiatives of Music Worcester include Festival Singers of The Worcester Chorus (where area high school students may sing with the Chorus at Mechanics Hall at no charge), Music-to-Go of The Music Guild (where area musicians bring live music into Worcester Public Schools and introduce students to all the instruments of the orchestra), and Music Worcester Comes to Worcester, where the organization's visiting guest artists on its main series engage in masterclasses, coachings, and performances in area schools.
