A Classical Rock Star: Joshua Bell - Oct. 29th

For Immediate Release -  September,  2016

Worcester -  Presented by Music Worcester in Mechanics Hall on Saturday, Oct. 29th, with an early start time of 7:30 PM to encourage music lovers of ALL ages to attend, none other than the famed "Man With The Violin" of the children's book by that name.
Known for his numerous recordings (over 40 albums to date!), for his jet-setting travel to play with the top orchestras around the world, and for playing incognito in the DC metro a few years ago, violinist Joshua Bell is universally regarded as one of the finest musicians of any generation.  Selected as Music Director of the Academy of St. Martin the Fields by the musicians in 2011, Bell is the first person to hold this post following Sir Neville Marriner, who formed the orchestra.

Hear him perform  works by Grieg, Ysaye, and Bach on his 300 year old Stradivarius violin known as "The Huberman"  on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 7:30pm at Mechanics Hall, where he will perform with the remarkable young pianist Alessio Bax.
