My Weekend Advice

Here is my weekend advice: Go to a show - anything live. Whether it is music, theatre, dance, visual art, sports - turn off the TV and go see something live. 

As with every Friday afternoon, I have hit a place of brain mush. A productive day, nonethess, of reworking sections of the strategic plan, weeding through all targeted grant opportunitties, creating an initial 2012 grant schedule, and, on the more creative side, developing a grant concept sheet for a series of Sunday afternoon family concerts that are "pay what you can." I think this was inspired by my blog entries for the last couple days about making the arts accessible to families with young children. I want you see saw how these blogs come full circle. Whether or not this program is adopted and funded and, whether or not we are able to offer these completely accessible concerts in the future, we are working to find ways to open the doors to our community and inspire them through live arts performances. Have a great weekend!
