From My Desk - Reflections from the Executive Director

Finalizing the schedule for the upcoming season, including the opening night dinner in honor of Stasia Hovenesian - check! Grant research for the upcoming fiscal year done with a calendar of imminent deadlines drafted - check!
The quiet weeks of August are anything but here at Music Worcester. While so many of our constituents are taking final summer vacations and while thoughts turn to the start of the school year, the five staff members of Music Worcester are hard at word organizing for the upcoming months to go as smoothly as possible.
Buzz is already starting for jazz legend Jason Moran's appearance in November, the concert of famed orchestra Academy of St. Martin in the Fields in March, and of course the Worcester appearance of the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba in October on this first-ever tour of the US. If you are a series subscriber your tickets will arrive before Labor Day. If you have a favorite show coming up during 2012-2013, you can guarantee the best possible seats by buying online - we just went live with online sales earlier this week.
For the many Music Worcester constituents I have had the privilege of meeting - thank you for a most gracious welcome to the Music Worcester family. For those I have not yet met, I look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming fall concerts.
