Camerata Ireland brings together exceptional musicians who live and work in Ireland and Irish musicians who work and live abroad! It has traveled the world to wide critical acclaim. In 2007 the ensemble was honored by an invitation to present a performance at the Library of Congress in Washington.
Conductor / pianist Douglas won the Gold Medal at the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow – the only non-Russian since Van Cliburn to have won this prestigious award outright. He had previously won the Bronze Medal at the Van Cliburn Competition in Texas.
