Clavier-Übung III (German Organ Mass, BWV 552, 669-689, 802-805) is Bach’s most extensive collection of works for organ. It is performed by Mark Mummert and Wesley Hall on two organs at Worcester’s Trinity Lutheran Church. This work is both highly demanding and complex, and was written by and for Bach at his organ recitals in Leipzig. Experience the widest range of writing for the instrument: forward-thinking Baroque forms like the French chorale, practiced religious forms of composers predating Bach, and multiple duets for the instrument.

There will be a reception during an extended intermission to celebrate the conclusion of Year 3 of THE COMPLETE BACH.
