Brownlee was named 2017 “Male Singer of the Year” by the International Opera Awards, and also serves as Artistic Advisor at Opera Philadelphia, helping the company to expand their repertoire, diversity efforts and community initiatives.

Community Partnership with The College of the Holy Cross:

Statement from students: The “Music, Performance, and Community” seminar is proud to announce a partnership with Music Worcester in support of their upcoming Lawrence Brownlee concert and racial justice initiatives. Members of the seminar will be raising funds to sponsor this performance, serving as both a fundraiser for Music Worcester and an introduction to fundraising and development within arts administration for the students in this pre-professional seminar interested in careers in the arts. Each member of the class is working on a final project of either a musical concert, educational event in the arts, or visual art exhibit, working to plan each aspect of the events from concept to presentations, and will be raising funds for Music Worcester with the presentation of these events.
